BattleKart debuts in the Netherlands: a new player in Dutch entertainment

BattleKart Europe

BattleKart, an innovative and growing entertainment concept, recently opened its first location in the Netherlands in Beusichem. This soft opening marked the expansion of BattleKart into the Dutch market. The concept, developed and built by BattleKart Europe under the leadership of Sebastien Millecam, already has eight locations in Belgium. Ice Mountain Adventure Park Group, known for its five recreational centers in Belgium, including the large Ice Mountain Adventure Park in Komen, has acquired the exclusive rights to operate BattleKart in the Netherlands.

The new Dutch venue is located in a former sports complex in Beusichem, where the largest hall has been transformed into a BattleKart attraction, while existing bowling alleys and tennis and paddle courts remain. An interesting aspect of this venue is the launch of a new brand name, WiPlay, used for locations where BattleKart is combined with other activities as part of a Multi Entertainment Center.

According to Nick Dubois, general manager of the parent company Ice Mountain, there is room for about 12 BattleKart locations in the Netherlands. The company aims for gradual growth and is actively seeking suitable locations for future branches, preferring to rent large halls to minimize capital costs. This strategic expansion marks a significant step in strengthening BattleKart’s position in the Dutch market.
